JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on November 20, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

It looked a little concerning, but Jordan stepped into the antiquated roller coaster car and pulled the bar down across his waist. Nothing said "safe" quite like sitting not fully secured in sketchy amusement part ride. He looked around at the other passengers and then at the dull track that they would be following. There were no loopy loops or upside down moments, so that made him feel a little less insecure. Only slightly less...he would have felt better had it seemed like it had been serviced recently. Sharks were scary, but this bucket of rusted bolts was terrifying!
