The ground was carpeted thickly with fallen leaves, creating a soft, rust-coloured blanket that stretched into the distance. The trees looked taller with their bare branches. The path narrowed and faded into the mist, creating a sense of calm mystery—an invitation to step forward and see what lay just beyond the haze. The silence was eerie - no chirping of birds; no flutter of wings. Yet, it was serene. "Alright, strike a pose, you two, and smiles, please!" I encouraged the newly-weds. Displaying their wedding bands, they smiled with happiness. If only they knew what happened here two years ago...
