The young couple kept running; they didn't know why. Even though they were many miles away from their families at this point, the anxiety of being caught was still slightly there. Of course, breaking into someone's house from the rooftop wasn't exactly a calming experience. As they ran through the trees, she began to think of her grandmother sitting at the table reading from her tattered and weary Bible. The old woman had died years ago, but she was a dear old soul. She would have been their ally, though. "It's all stubborn, foolish nonsense!" She used to call it.
