Clifford LeBlanc stared up at the ostentatious facade, overwhelmed by his own emotions of homesickness and longing. It wasn't that the sight of the building surfaced these feelings in him so much as that he was almost always on the precipice of being overcome by feelings of homesickness and longing. He imagined that if he had grown up in this building, looking out from one of those balconies every day, the sight of the building after many long years away would have drawn tears. Clifford sighed; he had not himself been home, many parsecs from here, for thousands of years.
