JKWriter's 100-word story for December 10, 2025
JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on December 10, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
Nan dragged the kids with her to the market this time. They had pled with her to leave them behind, but the inn was empty (as it was most of the time) so there was no reason for it. They dragged their feet the entire way. She smiled to herself remembering other days. It was a long time ago, but the etchings of the love she once knew were forever in her mind. She'd lost her sweetheart early on, but she'd always be grateful for him. Once in a life time love happens exactly once...or so she'd been told.
