No one had given Jacob any pointers about the area, just a key to the rental cottage and a card that said, “Good Luck!” He found the bike in the garage on the second day, and his week had been filled with scenic rides all over the village as locals watched him with keen eyes. He didn’t know the fog would just roll in like this. Not only that, he also didn’t know which way the cottage was now that visibility was shot and landmarks were hidden away. He wasn’t nervous or worried. Not really. Not until the howling started.
