"I will find him, Pa. You can count on me," the lad remembered saying. "You had better...or else..." he growled threateningly. Those were the last words between father and son...the boy had no intention of returning. In fact, the minute he picked up the track and saw that his brother wasn't alone, he knew what he was going to do. He hated abandoning his mother. Ravon even considered going back for her, but he couldn't risk it. The man would as soon kill them all than let them live any kind of happy life away from their home.
