It was the only way that her friends could find her in the darkened crowd filled room. At five feet tall she was easily the shortest person there and the battery powered Christmas lights acted like a beacon showing them where to find her every time they were separated. It had started out as a joke when Tyler put them on her, but any time they went in different directions they would all just find Mary. The prank had proven handy for the six freshman at their first college party. It also made them a rather popular crew that night.
