We bought the house for practically nothing from an auction. From what we were told, the lot was overgrown and the house was in shambles, but we didn’t care. It was the land we wanted. The house was indeed a mess, with vines covering almost every available surface and even encroaching inside in several places. Nothing exciting there, just a bunch of potential work. But the car! An old, red 1979 Opel Rekord still in great condition only needing tires, a tune-up, and a good wash. What a find! And then there were the bags of cash in the trunk…
