Darkness enveloped the building except for that room in the corner house. Soft amber lights-the illumination, a contrast to the outside world. I stared intently at that room. Though the glow of light looked beautiful, blending into the serene atmosphere of the night, I was eagerly waiting for the lights to go off! That would mean she had decided to go on this journey with me...but hope was diminishing. What's the delay? Then, the curtains parted and she waved, reluctantly. Then lights went off...she was saying goodbye! With a heaviness in my heart, I said goodbye and left!
