magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on January 29, 2026. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

His was the daily walk of the files over to Management. Hers was the delivery of reports to Finance. They always seemed to accidentally time it so they were walking towards each other on the skywalk. It started as polite pleasantries, then grabbed conversations, the long lingers as they took in the view below. Both looked at this as the highlight of their day. Once things went fully digital there was no need for their paths to cross. After a long, lonely week they both began to take their breaks in the skywalk, halfway across, but no longer by accident.
