We bought the house for a song from a tight-lipped realtor clearly more eager to unload the property than to make a commission. We discovered why on the third night we stayed there. The flickering shape of the gentleman on the stage was midway through Shakespeare’s “to be or not to be” when it noticed us and paused, only for a quick second, before continuing. “Wow, the show really MUST go on, huh?” said my partner, and we were instantly shushed by dozens of spectral audience members. Embarrassed, we found chairs in the corner and quietly took in the show.
