JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on February 9, 2026. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

"It's amazing, isn't it?" Trevor asked as he looked around the long lost village. Walls were still standing, but roofs were gone and the floors had been taken over by sediment and moss. Sara had seen a lot of villages over the years but this was one of the best preserved of this age. Finally, after taking it all in she was able to answer her partner, "It is...it's probably the greatest find of all time. My only thought is, how is it no one else had found it before?" They'd likely never know; at least they found it.
