Mrs_Julian's 100-word story for February 17, 2026

Mrs_Julian wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on February 17, 2026. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

I gazed at this beautiful image - my fifteen-year-old daughter's creative graffiti. She is hearing-impaired and sign language was her sole mode of communication. However, when she discovered her talent in being able to communicate through art forms, a whole new universe emerged! She tugged at my sleeve, wanting to know how I felt. The image evoked awareness - the variations in size and colour suggested different levels of importance: some moments demanded a wide, dominant gaze, while others remained smaller, quieter, yet still connected. a reminder that every perspective matters and every gaze is part of a wider tapestry of seeing.
