It felt like I’d discovered a library, when I opened that box in Grandma Adler’s attic. Rolls and rolls of undeveloped film all rolling around each other, their secrets held, maybe ruined by age, but also maybe waiting to be uncovered. Why were they stored here, not developed and meticulously placed in photo albums like the ones downstairs? What was so questionable on these tiny rolls of documentation that they were left to possibly wither and die without ever being revealed? There were hundreds. This could take a while. Would it be worth it? Only one way to find out.
