I finally opened the box that had been in storage for the last two years. My hubby, Daniel's name was written across in bright red. It was a chaotic heap of film canisters—bright yellows and blacks spilling over one another. Were these undeveloped images of occasions, events...of some family...an individual? In my mind, these symbolised stored time, of memories suspended between intention and revelation. Do I even want to find out what they could possibly reveal? How much do we value moments before they are made visible? The image sits at the crossroads of nostalgia and impermanence.
