Once again a friend dragged her out to hear the message. Once again she sat in a crowded room on an uncomfortable chair and listened. The words were nonsense at first, regurgitated tropes that hit her like imaginary mudballs thrown by children. Then something started to happen. They took shape in her head and built on each other, churning in her brain and exploding until she couldn’t help herself. She rose from her seat and began to dance, moved by the message. She felt alive and fulfilled for the first time ever. Who knew she could actually be a Swiftie?
