“Okay, first thing we need to do is build a bridge,” said Carla. “There’s no way I’m boating every day.” Noel shot her a sideways glance. “What?”” “If we’re going to live here I need a bridge. And what about power and water? Are there pipes that bring in clean water or do we need to set up a filtration system?” “All I said was, wouldn’t that be a neat place to stay,” Noel sputtered. “I didn’t mean—“ “I heard you. The answer is yes. Do you know any electricians?” Noel laughed. There was no stopping her now. “Welcome home.”
