I’ll admit I came tonight expecting some soft guitar music, maybe a crooning ballad, something simple—beautiful but unremarkable. Les is such a mild guy, soft spoken, never raises a fuss. But once he walked on stage and grabbed ahold of the microphone it was like someone plugged him in, like he’s been running on a diminishing charge until that point when the electricity flowed through his body and lit him up. I’ve never seen such an energetic show in my life. And that voice! “Thank you,” he said softly when I sang his praises at work the next day.
