magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on March 24, 2026. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

They pack themselves into tubes to travel and then move those tubes along their primitive roadways in only a few directions, or on “rails” which give them even less choice. Yawn! When I learned they actually made tubes that fly I had to give that a try. What nonsense is this? Once again, we’re only moving in a straight line. It’s like they’re obsessed with being as boring as possible. Where’s the looping, the pitching, the rapid descent spiral. And tubes!? Everyone knows the saucer is the best design. What a boring planet this is! 0/100 do not recommend!
