The woman looked down at the brightly painted courts below and watched the tiny uniform clad players running to and fro. Her mind drifted into memories of childhood and of her family. At 52, there was only the smallest bit of sadness associated with the 20 year rift between her and her siblings. When it was still new she grieved the loss most profoundly. It was hard to understand why they didn't want her or like her...or even love her. But now...she reflected on how much peace she had since they were gone. The hurt had become relief.
