Monica felt sweat trickle behind her ear. It mercifully woke her up and she felt the air escape her lungs as she screamed. The last vestiges of the dream that had be having were still swirling around the edges of her brain. She remembered bits and pieces of it, but not enough of it to make any sense at all. The most eery bits were of a cat made out of smoke, holding a fiddle. It was playing and singing the nursery rhyme of it's name sake; it's golden eyes bright like beacons in the night appearing to mock her.
