“Are these magic books? They look so old?” Tobias chuckled in response, then, seeing Trudy wasn’t joking, cleared his throat and put a ponderous look on his face to dispel her sudden frown. He knew it was working when he felt her grip on his hand tighten again. Then he realized he couldn’t deny it. “Yes, they are all magic. Each contains worlds trapped between their covers by a powerful magician years ago. Trudy’s frown returned. “Can we free them?” Tobias thought she was rather missing the metaphor. “Any time you like,” he answered. “You just have to read them.”
