JKWriter's 100-word story for May 26, 2026

JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on May 26, 2026. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

"It's shocking!" said one of the statue heads to the other. "It really is. I mean, would you look at that? Just look at it. It's undignified, I tell you!" exclaimed the other. In the courtyard below the landscaper had started to bring in six nude stone fairies that appeared to be dancing on tiptoes with their elegant wings fluttering behind...just above, well their behinds. The older talking stone heads continued their outraged conversation and would have been shaking themselves if they had been able. None of the stone figures were happy about it, but what could they do?
