It was so hot last night I couldn’t sleep. You know that feeling when you start to imagine you’re that frog who doesn’t know it’s being boiled, because the air around you is so thick with heat it just has to be radiating from somewhere nearby? And then I woke this morning to the land all around us covered in crisp, white snow, and it’s so cold my words practically froze as I spoke them and fell to shatter into a thousand inklings. That’s the trouble of being an apprentice to a wizard who talks in his sleep, I suppose.
