"Windmills...this was the surprise? I mean...they are kinda cool, but not what I was expecting," she thought to herself sighing quietly. Derek laughed when he heard that sigh. He knew it all too well. It meant that his plan had worked. Charla was just too smart and would have sussed out the real surprise in seconds. She was still right, of course, but where's the fun in letting her know immediately that this was the day...he was going to propose to her. He'd wait until the end of the tour, but until then...this would be fun.
