“What kind of cheese is it?” asked Bree. She ran her fingers along the surface of the wheel as if divining their contents. “No idea,” said Colby. “I just got the letter saying an inheritance was coming from my weird uncle and then they arrived.” “You haven’t cut into one yet?” Colby shrugged and ticked off points on his fingers. “One, I’m lactose intolerant. Two, I have no idea how old they are. And three—” Bree rolled her eyes and drove a finger through the wax. Moments later the mystery of what happened to Uncle Jack’s gem collection was solved.
