She still sings out there. Even though trade routes have changed and shifted, she sings, longing for the day another ship will wander by her long-ignored shore. When they built the lighthouses, she started to feel the thirst grow inside her as the ships were warned away from her dangerous reefs. But still she sings. It feels hopeless, but it is the only thing she knows. Her heart tells her that one day another ship will wander by. She sings for its foundering. She yearns for the day she can once again slake her ancient thirst on the bloody tides.
