There should be more snow on the peak of Mt. Fuji at this time of year. It is early Spring and the mornings are crisp and clear here on the shores of Lake Yamanaka. We huddle by the embers of last night's fire, waiting for this morning's kindling to catch. Our breath comes out in wisps of steam, but there isn't enough snow on the peak of Mt. Fuji. The winter was mild, to be sure. But even in the mildest winters there is usually more snow. There should be more snow on the peak of Mt. Fuji. Something's wrong.
