I find her leaning against a wall, sheltered against the weeping mist. To a casual observer, she seemed to be staring at the garish street art. I knew her, though, and I knew she was seeing everything on the street. Figured she'd clocked me minutes before I found her. I start to speak, but she raises a finger, silencing me effortlessly. "Not here." Points to her eyes, then to her left. High on the wall, I spot the camera. Realize she was positioned just out of its line of sight. I try to look cool, but I am scared shitless.
