“I’m sorry, it’s just not going to work. We’re too different,” Sara said, looking off into the distance. Martin nodded his head. He kept nodding. “It’s just that I want big things, you know.” Martin continued to nod. “And you, well, you are happy to settle. It just won’t work. I hope you understand.” Martin turned his head to follow a duck and started as he saw her. He pulled the blaring earbuds from his ears. “I’m sorry, were you talking to me?” She sighed and rose. “No, nothing. Just practicing before I see my boyfriend.” Martin smiled and nodded.
