paul's 100-word story for May 15, 2025

According to the records the apas were there in the early days of Silvanus and Sister Evelynn. Some think they predate the Abbey altogether. They were never used as pack animals and no one dared kill or eat them, even in lean times. They just wandered around the grounds. As the Abbey transformed into Bellmead and as Bellmead fell into ruin, one constant was the apas. Overlooking the events of men, not getting involved. Perhaps they are a higher being or merely a example of how to live within the world we're in instead of trying to alter it so.
