Above me, the whole of River Dance practices on a near constant loop, to and fro, day and night. To the left are the screamers. I can't tell if they're angry with each other, or just have difficulty hearing in general, but nevertheless, all conversation is at high volume. To the right, the tennis player, the wall between us, the net, the imagined space of my apartment, the unwilling opponent. And below me, the experimental chefs. I'm not sure if they kill what they cook or just find it dead. Makes me feel less bad about learning the didgeridoo, honestly.
