Hide's 100-word story for May 18, 2025

Hide wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on May 18, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

A murder happened three windows across and six down. In window 32, a divorce started. 18 children have been conceived in room 13. Last week, 5 windows down, I saw Tom Clancy…’s ghost writer finish his latest novel. In that same room I saw someone get arrested. He was in the news later, it was a drug bust. Room 27’s occupant has been there 17 days, I think he’s also getting divorced. I’m a bit of a voyeur. I’m also really into statistics. And I’m single. Would you like to have dinner and then spend time in room 13?
