magisternihil's 100-word story for May 23, 2025

magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on May 23, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

"This job takes patience and attentiveness. You can't drift off like in one of your video games." Harold banked to the left, then pulled back on the stick. "I know, Dad, I know. You've said it a thousand times." Billy tried not to glare. There was no way he'd get to fly the plane if he acted childish. "I passed my pilot's test. I know what I'm doing." "Perfection is key. Clients pay to see the exact thing they asked for," added Harold, not listening. "Then why did you just write 'I LOEV YOU MDORIS!' in the sky?" shouted Billy.
