The power has been out for three days. I'm beginning to think it's never coming back on. The police say not to worry about the howls we hear at night. They say it's just a pack of wolves in the area, and that they'll move on soon. They say the disappearances are due to people leaving out of panic, not anything else. But I know wolves. I know what a pack sounds like. These are no wolves. Wolves don't try to turn door knobs at three in the morning. Wolves can't climb on the roof. Shhh! Did you hear that?
