Imprisoned in my head I look out peering through the eyeholes listening to muffled speech watching the real world proceed and I huddle in the darkness Sometimes I get brave push forward and press my eyes to the soul portals take complete control and try to relate to exist to be but it's too real and I retreat shaking my head in disbelief I am alone in here no alters to keep me company no others to take control no sympathetic companions I can feel the weight of the expectations but am unable to embrace them scream though they might
