Cheater's 100-word story for May 28, 2025
Cheater wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on May 28, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
Dude sat in the half-dark like he was born for it, eyes locked on some point past the wall, past the barrio, past the bullshit. His jaw tight like he was chewing old grief. You could tell he didn’t cry—just turned to stone when it got bad. Probably knew too much, saw too much, carried it in his shoulders like a second skin. The kind of guy who disappears between sentences, like even language can’t hold him. Not a saint, not a killer—just a jungle cat trying to get to tomorrow without the past chewing through his ribs.
