I've always been curious, from the time I was a fawn. Mama doe has always warned about getting too close to the “two-legs”. “Friedrich, you know all too well what can happen when you risk your own safety, as well as that of our entire community. You know danger comes right to our doorstep.” I didn't listen. I was a veritable woodland wizard in my mind. I should have heeded her wise words. Now I stand here, facing the hunter with his weapon fixed on my eyeballs. His garish orange plastic vest my last coherent thought and ugly vision. Bang!
