The Smiths-Fullerfield Anglerfish is another oddity. It lurks just under the surface of still pools of water, with the crest on top of its head just breaking the surface. The crest, a fascinating specimen of evolution, has adapted over time to resemble the head and upper torso of a man in his late thirties, with a single green eye and curly black hair that is just starting to show streaks of grey. When hunting, the anglerfish waits patiently until someone hapless do-gooder comes along to fish what they think is a drowning victim from the water. And then it strikes.
