Jackal's 100-word story for June 1, 2025

Jackal wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on June 1, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

Would you rather be a ceiling or a wall? There are advantages to both and yet most people would probably say wall. Strong. Powerful. A wall can withstand so much. A wall is there to give you support. But a ceiling gives you coverage. A ceiling shows you that you have shelter above your head. One might say that at least a wall can stand alone whereas a ceiling needs support from the wall. That’s why it’s the better answer. It’s ok to need others. So go out and be a ceiling and find yourself a good wall for support :)
