Eight little eggs More oblivious than most, One got poached And eaten on toast Seven little eggs Gossiping to each other Two got baked into a quiche for my mother Five little eggs Still none the wiser One got deviled for an appetizer Four little eggs sitting in their tray One got scrambled yesterday Three little eggs, who all started praying One got whipped into a meringue Two little eggs, With nothing in common One soft boiled and put in ramen. One little egg left out overnight they say the last one is a rotten egg and they are right.
