Satisfied that he had sufficiently dispatched any evidence of his sister’s new doll, Tyler wiped his dirty hands on a tree and headed home. The evil lurking behind the figure’s cute smile and big blue eyes could no longer harm his household. Maybe now the family could resume a normal, peaceful life. Never had he experienced anything like the terror of the past few days. Nothing could bring the family’s beloved terrier back. The trauma might never be fully erased. Still, they could move forward and live in peace. He knew he had done a hero’s work on this day
