The hot summer sun had been blazing on our heads for hours. Though we both were wearing protective headgear and spf “shirt in a bottle”, delirium had certainly set in as we approached the now not-so-distant shore. We'd planned for this excursion all year. Now our eyes were certainly deceiving us. “Trent, do you see them? Do you see all those giants up there, especially the one flipping us the bird?” “Yep! What were we thinking? This place looks pretty hostile, dude!” Abandoning our plans entirely, we skirted the island, reversed our path, lit another joint, and sped on home.
