George and Luther shouted with excitement as they sped away from the seaside casino. This heist set them up for an easy life. “This is it,” George said. “From now on, I’m going clean.” His partner nodded in agreement. “Same,” he said. “As long as we split this 50/50.” Suddenly, their smiles vanished. “What the hell?” George said. “This was supposed to be open water.” Behind them, the sirens and blue lights of police boats gained momentum. “Good luck, I’m not going back to prison,” Luther said as he jumped off the vessel and disappeared amid the choppy waves.
