Gray's 100-word story for June 9, 2025
Gray wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on June 9, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
"Yah! YAH! GIDDYAP!" The woman kicked him in the side with her boots so many times he felt nauseated. Hickory was not an angry horse; his temper matched his gait, but this lady was trying him. "Ma'am, if you continue to kick the horses we'll have to ask you to--" "YAH! I SAID GIDDY THE HELL UP!" She pulled his mane, yanking a piece out. He'd had enough. Hickory threw her off. Then he turned around and checked her face to make sure she was all right. "Stupid horse!" She yelled. He snorted in her face, turned, and cantered away.
