The heat was agonizing. Sweat drenched my face as I struggled to escape the mind-numbing nap I somehow fell into. Maybe it was heatstroke. A drop of liquid landed on my forehead. Then another. Then another. It was sticky... I didn't like it. I opened my eyes to see the direct view of a hairy mouth of a camel dripping saliva on me. It seemed curious. I immediately sat up, my kaftan covered in sand. A lady approached me, dressed in a teal koynek, her green head scarf almost touching the ground. "Chong rakhmat, kind sir. You found my camel!"
