Searching for a memory is like peering through ice trying to pull out detail from a distortion You swim backwards against the current grasping at any handhold you can find to go in full reverse through time You bat away distractions trophies and postcards fanfare and executions looking for something only you will recognize And when you find it wrap your mind around it like a hug bring it to your breast to nurture it its corrupted nature infects you So turn the gaslight up see it as it truly is not how it actually was but how you remember
