"Look at them. Nothing has changed." Les watched the three men as they loitered outside the Sup-r-Quik. Douggie was smoking, of course, and even from this distance Les could tell he was sucking on those awful clove cigarettes. Keith looked like he was asleep, straddling the coin-operated horse, his hair hanging in his face. And did Bogo really think no one knew what was in that bottle-shaped paper bag he clutched? They never grew up. Losers, all of them. Les shrugged. "Time to go to work." He pulled on the ski mask, checked his gun, and headed for the bank.
