Seventeen, and he believed everything on the Internet. Carried a jug of apple cider vinegar always, had dreams of reversing the aging process -- to what, she wondered, the age of ten? -- by going to the ocean floor in a submarine, then had to reconcile himself to ice water baths and a sauna. She installed child safety locks in the laundry room to defend the Tide pods. He found out idiots believed the fountain of youth was in (of all places) Florida, and sulked when she wouldn't let him go. Being an astrophysicist was not enough to prepare her for parenting.
